Each season brings with it different colors, scents, and rhythms, and the nursery is constantly renewed to offer plants suitable for every time of the year. At Vivai Schito, seasonal selection is not just an aesthetic matter but a way to enhance nature by following its timing and needs.
The importance of choosing the right plants at the right time
Choosing seasonal plants is crucial for achieving lasting and harmonious results. Every plant has an ideal time to be planted, and respecting that timing helps promote its natural growth. In autumn, for example, it’s the perfect time to plant trees and shrubs, taking advantage of the still-warm soil and increasing humidity. In spring, on the other hand, the variety of blooms explodes, making it the ideal time to add color and vitality to gardens and terraces.
The Vivai Schito selection
In the nursery, the selection of seasonal plants is the result of experience and knowledge of the Salento region. Here, you’ll find varieties that combine resilience, beauty, and adaptability to the local climate. Each season, the Vivai Schito staff curates a dedicated selection that includes:
Flowering plants to brighten balconies and gardens.
Fruit trees for those who want to grow the authentic flavors of the region at home.
Herb and medicinal plants, perfect for those who love to combine aesthetics and utility.
Native ornamental species, ideal for creating sustainable and resilient green spaces.
